Now into our 6th month of our quixotic crusade, we’ve come a long way baby. We ask ourselves, “How do we have time for all this?!”. We don’t. Yet…
From the 33 trademark scam web sites we thought existed on May 30th, we are now up to 129.
All are eerily similar trademark “services” flooding the USA.
We initially naively called them “SCAMS”. Then the more we learned, we referred to them as “FRAUDULENT SCAMS”. Nowadays as we are reaching into law enforcement we’ve learned they are more accurately characterized as “CYBER CRIME FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS”. Too much. Exhausting!
Now 61 trademark services have gone BYE BYE.
Success has come from a combination of efforts. The “tag team” seems to be leadership by the USPTO, by you our clients who are reporting their adventures with these “low life’s” and maybe a little from these articles. We’ve encouraged our clients who have been spammed, spoofed, lied to and credit cards maxed out, to take further steps to complain about these SCAM trademark services. Those steps can vary.
Slowly, but surely more and more scammers have disappeared.

Yes, they just open up shop again under another crazy name like TRADEMARK GRABBER or TRADEMARK CRAFTY or anything with USPTO in the name.
Sorry Canadian CIPO fans. We haven’t found any attempts to appear CIPO related. Yet.
We’re realizing that opening and closing crazy web sites is part of the scam. They do not plan to be around for too long. When all those trademark refusals and terminations start coming in, would you like to answer the phone?
They sure are leaving a wide paper trail.
Maybe we’ve done nothing but document the drama.
The game now is to get to 100%.
But, at what number will the 129 tally grow to before we get to 100%?
